Haven Humane Society has been caring for lost, homeless, and abused animals in the Redding area since 1952. Our founders recognized that city and county resources could not support our mission of providing shelter and humane care for all animals who come through our doors. Instead, these concerned citizens created a charitable nonprofit organization that is privately funded by people who believe all our four-legged friends deserve love and respect.

We intend to be around for many more years to come and you can help us make that a guarantee. Haven relies on your assistance to continue to provide the best care possible to every animal currently in our shelter, and also to the ones we are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming in the future.
